One of the things I love the most about living in Western Mass is the abundance of awesome playgrounds. So when Nonotuck Park built a new playground, I knew we had to check it out. I’ve got lots of pictures to share but first, let’s get the details out of the way.
Nonotuck Park Easthampton, MA
- GPS Address: 1 Daley Field Rd, Easthampton MA
- Fees: $3.00 on weekends and holidays
- Bathrooms: Yes
- Hours: 8:00 am until dark
Directions to playground: After passing the entrance booth, take a left and follow the road into the park. Playground is approximately 1/4 mile into the park and on the left hand side. If you find the spray park area, you’ve gone too far. Speaking of spray pads, yes there is one, as well as a public pool (see rate here), bocce courts, tennis courts and basketball courts.
Nonotuck park is brand new for the summer of 2015 and has a forest for a backdrop. It is a hybrid between a naturescape playground and a traditional playground. What we loved about Nonotuck Park was that so much thought went into the design and equipment pieces. This is a playground where older teens through toddlers will enjoy. The day we visited there were a few 15 or 16 year olds there who we here having just as much fun as my little kids were.
The “big kid” playground.
The toddler/preschool playground.
The bigger kid playground. Malone is almost six and loved climbing on the nets but couldn’t reach the monkey bars.
The tree house.
looks awesome!! We don’t have anything like that around here. Will have to add to my bucket list.
