Disclosure: I am a Stonyfield ambassador and was sent product to review from both Stonyfield and their partner, prAna. All opinions are my own.
One of the things I am trying to do more of is dress in clothing I love. I want to wear things that look beautiful and function well for me as I move between motherhood and work and back again. When we moved, I got rid of over 80% of the things I had in my closet.
I also got rid of 80% of the things in other people’s closets too. Everything went to the donation center- it was awesome.
The criteria I used when I decided what to keep and what to let go of was this:
- Did I love the way I felt when I wore it?
- Did it serve a specific purpose?
- Did it fit into my daily lifestyle as a work at home mom?
- Was it in great condition?
In order for it to move into the keep pile, the clothing had have a “yes” for at least 75% of the answers. I ended up ditching all but one little black dress- one that could be dressed down for daily wear or dressed up for weddings.
There is freedom on the other side of excess. Getting dressed in the morning isn’t stressful anymore because I’m only left with what I love.

When the opportunity came for me to review a piece of clothing from prAna’s organic cotton line, it took me quite some time to decide on what to order. I finally settled on the Ginger Top. I loved that it could be dressed up or down and that it could cross over into different areas of my life. It would look just as cute on the way to yoga as it would out on a date night with Mike.
In this outfit, I feel like I can just be me. From chasing after kids to running to a networking event, this outfit represents who I am. #justbeyou
From the website’s description:
The prAna Ginger Top adds easy-going comfort to any outfit. An organic cotton blend and cowl neckline create a cozy feeling that’s reinforced by a relaxed fit.
As a whole, the prAna brand and their mission aligns with my clothing mission.
When you reach into your closet, there should be something there that reflects who you are, how you feel, and what you value most. There should be something that you can put on in the morning and confidently wear all day long. Something that can be thrown in your bag and know will work for whatever your journey brings.
About prAna’s organic cotton:
Third-party certification organizations verify that organic producers use only methods and materials allowed in organic production. Meaning no toxic and persistent pesticides or synthetic fertilizers and no genetically engineered seeds.
I paired my Ginger top from prAna with Stonyfield’s Pacific Coast Strawberry on a day that took me from church in the morning to an afternoon movie date with Malone and an evening networking event for work. I had plans to take a nice stroll around our reservoir, but an early afternoon rain blew in (thus the movie date).

By wearing clothes that make me feel good and help me stay active with my family.
Hmm…that’s a big question. I feel like I started just being me the day I took the leap, left my beige cubicle and started freelance life. It sure was terrifying… and the hardest and best and craziest and most tiring and most exhilarating thing ever!

And Sam and I recently went through a massive haul of our clothes and got rid of a ton of stuff. Felt great!

I like Zumba and yoga #JustBeYou
I let run to keep myself sane, cook and try new recipes because I love food and eating healthy, play with my children because I love being a mom – that’s how I “just be me.”
I wear clothes and do things that make me HAPPY.
I like to be myself by wearing clothes that are comfy and stylish for all my adventures.
I love that top! The color is perfect with your dark hair and fair complexion!
I guess I accomplish this by trying to be the best person I can be and helping others AND MYSELF BE HAPPY.
I just try to be myself and not care what others think anymore.
