Both Lola and Malone adore reading books. Malone has been learning how to read all year and is finally at the point where he can read a lot of books on his own by sounding out the words. Both kids especially love celebrating the seasons and holidays with themed books. Since Earth Day is right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to compile a list of Earth Day books for kids. These books are all easily found either at your local library or your favorite book seller. Affiliate links are present.

What great suggestions! We have ‘I can save the earth’ and love it! This post reminds me to go order more before it’s too late (I’ve been meaning to and keep forgetting!) Thanks!

These books look great. I love celebrating Earth Day with my boys, and they especially love reading books about nature. Off to the bookstore and library we go!
That’s wonderful list of books! I agree that we should teach our children as early as possible to be responsible for the environment and to recycle properly! We usually spend the day outside playing in the garden.
Thanks for your terrific list of Earth Day books. Our children also liked D is for Dudley by Ron Chandler. The story is about the importance of saving sea turtles and protecting the marine environment.
