If you have followed 31 days of Blogger Rehab from the beginning, you’ve figured out why you blog, who you blog for, and who your reader is.
If you’re wondering what the heck I’m talking about, Blogger Rehab is a 31 day series focused on helping the blogger that is stressed out, overworked, and wants to quit the internet. You can start at the beginning of the Blogger Rehab series by going to the home page.
The answers to today’s questions were a bit easier for me to answer. I think in part because I didn’t have to dig as deep for them as I did for the previous questions in Blogger Rehab.
What do you LOVE about blogging?
This is your sweet spot. When you come to the computer to work on your blog, these are the tasks that you knock out first. They’re the things you look forward to working on even when they are challenging or hard.

One of the things I love the most about blogging is taking a sponsored post or a review and spinning it in a way that is both beneficial for me long term and is something the client really loves. When I write a compensated post, a lot of times I do it in such a way that the post becomes evergreen (something that is always relevant). This is beneficial for both the client and I because long after the campaign is over the post still gets read. Typically, these posts do extremely well on Pinterest for me.
Here is a recent example of what I mean.

What do you HATE about blogging?
These are the things that feel like a chore or a drag. Maybe they’re things you feel like you should be doing or tasks associated with blogging that are difficult due to forces outside of your control. Or maybe they are tasks that you’re trying to master but don’t have enough knowledge of yet.
One of the things I really hate about blogging right now is developing my newsletter. Part of the reason why I hate it so much right now is because I just don’t know much about MailChimp, integrating it with my blog and designing a template.
The good news is that I can learn all of this. Which brings me to my third question for you today.
What do you WISH you KNEW more about blogging?
There are always ways that we can grow and learn as bloggers. The industry is evolving, the blogging landscape is completely different than it was two years ago (or even six months ago really).
It is important to figure out what you wish you knew more about because this is an area you can focus on as you continue your education.
Use these questions as a jumping off point as you brainstorm about what you want to learn more about.
- What can I learn more about what I hate about blogging?
- What are my favorite bloggers doing that I currently don’t know how to do?
- What blogging and social media tasks do I struggle with completing? Is it due to lack of knowledge?
There are bloggers out there who are generous with their time and knowledge. There are entire blogs dedicated to blogging and social media advice and tutorials.
My can’t miss blogs about blogging are:

This blog post is part of a 31 day series called Blogger Rehab. If this is your first stop along the way, I am so glad you’re here and I hope today’s ideas helped you on your Blogger Rehab journey. This journey is best taken from the very beginning as each lesson and idea builds upon previous ideas. All of the blog posts in this series will be linked together on the Blogger Rehab landing page. I wish I knew more about, or had more time for, the social interaction beyond replying to comments. I put things out on Facebook and Twitter, but I schedule most of that. I don’t feel like I have a dedicated time during the day to just get online and shat in either of those places. It hasn’t been a huge priority for me, but I wonder how much of a game changer that would be.

I think social media is so hard, Rabia! I struggle a lot with social media too for some of the same reasons. I will be talking about social media as part of blogger rehab a little bit, but really I think if you want to “do” social media well you’ve got to have a mix of conversations and promotion.
I wish I knew more of the tech/behind the scene of my blog so that I could make it look and function like I want it to without being afraid of breaking it. I also want to set up mail chimp for post to email delivery. I am trying to learn but never seem to have enough time.

Learning the technology side of blogging has been so hard for me too! My best advice is to tackle one thing at a time!
Love – The actual writing and the connections I have made/am making with other bloggers. I also enjoy creating the graphics although I am not as talented as some.
Hate – trying to keep up with social media & the “competition” to be bigger, more popular, published here there & everywhere – However, I realize much of that competition is within myself. Because I don’t make money through my blog, I cannot justify giving it the time I would like to, It has, lately, been just another stressor on my to-do list.
Wish I could learn better time management with it- the elusive balance – and be more skillful and productive wight he time I do have to write and on social media.

This is great – I LOVE writing. Hate promoting via social and pinterest I just don’t get at all! And I need to learn email marketing. I wish I could make it a business, but I work and have kids. Thanks for making me think about this. Found you at SITS!

I love writing and connecting with other people. It’s an opportunity for me to be social where I don’t have to feel like I’m cramped in a room full of strangers (I’m an introvert by nature so dealing with crowds is not my plus). I hate that sometimes I feel like I am not doing enough and that I could be doing much more in terms of commenting and social media but sometimes my feed reader is just too long to be able to visit everyone.
I started out with Mailchimp but then switched to MadMimi and just this morning I sent out the very first edition of my newsletter! Yay! In all honesty Mailchimp is great but MadMimi somehow seemed more… personal and I like the way the emails are actually formatted.
dropping in from SITS. what a great post!
The only thing I hate about blogging is not having enough time to commit to writing and my blog.
I wish I knew more about my readers. as my blog is ever-evolving, that will take time.

Great questions! One of the things I love most about blogging are the connections! I have met some really great people through events, networks, social media, and I am so grateful for the many friendships

This sounds like a great series!
I love the writing, creative side of blogging.
I hate the feeling of constantly trying to get things done. It seems like there are always hundreds of things i should be doing that I can’t find the time for, or that I’m not good enough at.
I really wish I knew more about growing my audience and all the little technical things that I want to do, but that I can’t! Learning those things take forever, but it’s so satisfying when you do figure something out! 🙂

I think the hardest thing about blogging is that it can be so demotivating when you feel you’ve written something great and no one comments or “likes.” I don’t write for accolades, but you do need positive reinforcement along the way.
Great post. Picked up some tips! Found you through the SITS linkup.

Good questions to find the answers to! For me, I love making my readers laugh. I hate when writer’s block hits. And I wish I knew more about marketing. (Oh, and I stopped by from SITS.)

I love when people comment saying they’re excited about a craft I’ve made and they want to try it themselves. I hate that there are so many different social medias to juggle. I can only really focus on one at a time, so until I master that social media, I feel I can’t move on to the next (which may mean I’m losing out on connecting with a lot of people.)
