Yesterday, the image that popped up in my Facebook timeline was from this time last year. I had taken a picture of sweet little Lola going to town on a platter of pulled pork and beans from a BBQ joint in Savannah, GA. We were on our southern vacation and we had marveled at just how much big people food she threw down.  Since then, her love for food has increased ten fold. She’s totally got opinions now about what she thinks is delicious and what she’s rather not eat.  Her top ten foods are cheese, broccoli, cheese puffs, beans, rice, turkey, oatmeal, apples, cheese sticks, and granola bars.

So, when I stumbled upon Lil’ Beanies from Gerber in the baby aisle, I knew they’d be a hit.

Reasons why mom loves them:

  • made from navy beans
  • 2 grams of protein
  • 1 gram of fiber
  • 10% of daily value of vitamin E per serving
  • They’re baked, not made with genetically engineered ingredients, and are naturally flavored!
  • Easy to find! They’re the first bean based snack in the baby aisle!

This summer, we are going to be spending a ton of time at the beach house on Cape Cod. We are so lucky to have a place to go, and we plan to go a lot! One of the things I love about Lil Greenies is that I can throw it in my beach bag and know that I’ve got a great snack option for little hands.

Lil Greenies 2I found our Lil Greenies at Target, they’re in the baby aisle!

What are your summer plans?
