I love writing posts like these because I adore looking back on them – I used to combine my What I Learned posts with my monthly goals posts, but I’ve decided to keep it separate as I try to work on bringing more of myself back into this space.

Here are a few things I learned in October.

I really love Halloween. I’m owning it. I love Halloween. My part of the world does Halloween like no other and there are usually two full weeks of events to attend. The kids and I went to a bunch, and I loved every single one of them.

Halloween 2015

I love having margin in my life.  Professionally, I am busier than I’ve ever been. Work is awesome and if I told you right now how many deadlines I had, you’d probably cry. I’ve discovered the art of time management and even though I’m busy, nothing is suffering. I’ve got time for me, time for my marriage, time for my kids, and time for work. I’ve found that it is about doing the right things at the right time and making sure there is space to breath between all of it. Margin… it is awesome.

I am a hustler when it comes to unpacking a house. We moved into a new home on October first and I am pleased to say that I am down to the very FINAL two boxes to unpack. Both of those boxes contain decorative items and things to hang on the walls. There are no boxes hidden away in the attic or garage- there are things in our storage space in the basement, but the things down there are things that belong down there like our Christmas decor and summer supplies (camping chairs, sand toys and so on). I’ll get to those last two boxes soon, but I’m still living with my walls and furniture in this new space. I’m not quite sure everything is where it is going to end up yet.

I’m obsessed a clothing company called LuLa Roe. One of my favorite bloggers has been a consultant for over a year and after seeing all of her photos on social media AND seeing some of my friends in real life post about it, I decided to give it a try. LuLa Roe makes awesome leggings, dresses, shirts, and skirts for women and little girls of all sizes. Each consultant carries their own inventory and sizes/patterns/styles vary from consultant to consultant. Here are some of my favorite pieces that I’ve ordered. I’ll be having an online pop up shop in December as well as a pop up at my house. If you want to come, just let me know!

LulaRoe is quickly becoming my favorite clothing brand! Affordable clothing options for women of all sizes and shapes!

I have a crush on Coach Taylor. After hearing a few people confess their love for Friday Night Lights, Michael and I started watching it together on Netflix. I cannot believe I missed this show the first time around. I have long loved the Gilmore Girls, but this show is giving it a run for it’s money and might replace it as my all time favorite (and I’m not even out of season one yet). Thankfully, there are seasons upon seasons left for us to watch. Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose. SWOON.

I’m linking this post up today with Emily Freeman and her What I Learned community- if you love this post, there are tons more to read from other bloggers. Just click through the link.

So tell me, what did you learn in October?
