Life is busy for me- but we can all say that right? One of my big goals for 2015 is to take more time to find causes that really tug at my heart strings and lend my voice to them. As it turns out, international children’s issues sets my heart on fire. I have spent hours pouring over photos and praying for the children of the world. The photos today are c/o Care.org.
The other night, I found myself brimming with gratitude as I watched Malone play with his cars. It was just so sweet and simple. A simple childhood is a sweet spot for me.
On the other side of the world, boys just a year older than Malone are marrying as child grooms. I’ll say that again. 7 year old boys in Nepal are getting married. Are you married? Think of the expectations and provision you give your spouse. Now imagine trying to do that as a little boy.

Pranav (real name witheld due to age), 16 years old, is a child groom. CARE USA representatives have come to the area to view the progress of the Tipping Point Program, meant to combat child marriage in the districts of Kapilbastu and Rupandehi of Nepal near the Indian border.
Pannilal Yadev is a former child groom. Today, he’s working with CARE.
Pannilal married young as a child groom. He was expected to take care of his family and had to drop out of school. His life could have taken a completely different path- he ran into one of his friends from school who is now an engineer.
