On Saturday afternoon we got a call that Michael’s 93 year old grandmother’s health had taken a serious turn for the worse. We, along with the kids and Mike’s mom packed the car and set out for Florida. We drove straight through. 12 states, 24 hours. We are soaking up the sun and family time.
I’m typing this from my phone. We didn’t bring much with us. Thank you for your prayers.

My ‘oma’ passed away yesterday. We have no reason to mourn really because she turned 89, up to a year and a half ago she was still traveling the world, still riding her bike to the beach and still living on her own. And yet… loosing a grandmother is a big thing. She is the one who keeps the family together, in our case she is the only reason the family gets together. The family will not be the same without her. And yet, I am grateful for her many many good years.
I haven’t read more recent posts yet but I hope the trip was blessed.
