Summer unofficially kicks off with Memorial Day! And what better way to do it than to honor our veterans + civic leaders by attending a parade! This listing is fluid, there are a lot of parades happening and if you’re really wondering if the weather has cancelled the parade or specific details, it’s best to call the town’s city hall!

Here’s everything we know about Pioneer Valley Memorial Day Parades 2017

Agawam: 10:00 – Marches down Main Street to Phelps School (phone confirmed).
Amherst: 9:30 – The Parade steps off from North Common.
Chicopee: 10:00  – Starts at the American Legion Post 452 and travels down Front Street to Veterans Plaza.
Easthampton: 10:30 – Starts at Easthampton Community Center on Clark Street and proceeds to Emily Williston Memorial Library on Park Street for ceremony at 11 a.m.
East Longmeadow: 10:50 – Starts at East Longmeadow High School and marches down to the Flag Pole for a formal ceremony (phone confirmed).
Greenfield: 10:00 Starts at the Greenfield Middle School and the route proceeds to the Greenfield Veterans Plaza.
Hampden: 10:00 Starts at St Mary’s Church and marches towards the Memorial Statue.
Holyoke:  9:00 am Starts at the War Memorial  to City Hall to Veterans Park.
Ludlow: 9:00 Starts at Winsor between Worchester and Newbury Sts. More Info.
Northampton/Florence: 10:00 The Parade goes up through the center of Florence Down Park Street, circles down Pine Street to North Maple, and back to the center, ending at the cemetery on Park Street. More Info.
South Hadley: 11:00 The parade starts at South Hadley High School and goes to Main St.
Ware: 1:00   Parade starts on Maple Street at 1 p.m. Ceremony at Veterans Park, Main Street.
Westfield: 10:00 AM. The parade route will be as follows:  beginning at Mestek,  the marchers will march south down North Elm Street, continuing across the Great River Bridge onto Elm Street, continuing south to Broad Street, turning right at the intersection of Broad Street and West Silver Street to Parker Memorial Park for the Memorial Day ceremony.  Following the Parker Park Ceremonies, American Legion Post 124 will march the route in reverse to the post home on Broad St, where additional ceremonies will be held. West Springfield: 10:00 am  Starts at St. Thomas School and follows along Kings Highway, right onto Elm Street, and left onto Park Ave. Following the parade we will conduct a brief ceremony on the Town Common. More Info.
