A Little Something Just For Me. A Perfectly Posh Review.

While I was in Illinois visiting my family, I came across someone who was selling a product I hadn’t heard about before. I was drawn to her table at a vendor fair because of the product’s great use of fonts. Weird right? After chatting with independent consultant, Candy Johnstone, I knew Perfectly Posh was an amazing company. Thank you Candy, for providing me with these products to review today! All opinions are my own in this perfectly posh review! 

One of the most surprising things to me about motherhood is how easy it is to NOT take care of myself. I can very easily get swept up in the daily grind of taking care of two kids, running errands, cooking dinner, doing laundry, and so on. There are often days when 5:00 pm rolls around and I haven’t had anything to drink since my coffee at 6:00 am.

And showering on a regular basis? Forget it. It usually goes something like this- I can’t remember the last time I took a shower, time to shower again. Or, OMG! I could change the oil in the car with the amount in my hair, time to shower!

Lately though? I’ve been looking for reasons to take a shower. In fact, yesterday I even went to the gym, just so I could sweat it out and come home to shower again to use my Good Morning, Beautiful Big Bath Bar. I’m not typically a fan of bars of soap, but this one won me over. It has a nice understated lemon scent (not like household cleaner) and the soap feels like butter for my skin.

The soap bar isn’t a wimpy size, it takes two hands for me to hold it.  With two small kids, I never get to have two hands free to do just about ANYTHING, so it is an extra special treat for me.

It suds really nicely and washes away clean.

Also? How cute is this packaging? This packaging is what drew me into Candy’s table at the fair.

If you’re a woman in my life that I typically give a gift to, you’re likely getting a bar of this this year. I’m not even going to wrap it. Because, obviously.

I am a self proclaimed lotion snob. I love lotion and have wasted millions in search of the perfect one. I have looked high and low for something that has a nice understated scent and that isn’t gummy, greasy, or sticky. I hate putting on lotion only to feel like I need to wash my hands immediately.

BOOM. I’ve found it. It’s name is a Big Fat Yummy Hand Creme. And it’s scent is called Lil Snarky. The name alone makes it 50 Shades Of Awesome.

The cute packaging? Bonas Jonas. Did you know that’s a real term that I made up? So, there were  three Jonas Brothers in that boy band. But they’ve got a little brother too. He’s the Bonas Jonas.

This lotion lives up to the name. It is yummy! My hands have never felt better. It has a secret ingredient- apricot kernal oil to nourish the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. It is also 100% vegan and paraben & paraffin free.  Lil Snark’s scent is exotic flowers and sandalwood. It is clean and fresh. And just like Good Morning Beautiful, it isn’t overpowering.

According to Candy, the Big Fat Yummy Hand Creme is her best seller. I can see why. My tube lives on my desk. And when it is out, I will  be ordering more.

When Candy and I were talking about products to try, The Healer Skin Stick was at the top of her list.

The Healer is shea butter, beeswax, orange oil, and vanilla oil. It is meant to be used soothe scrapes and mild burns and can be used to help heal scars. In the photo below, I’ve taken off the cap so you can see the inside of The Healer. It is SOLID and one swipe does the trick.

This weekend, we spent a ton of time outside. I missed getting Malone’s cheeks with sunscreen. How does that always happen? Malone inherited his daddy’s blonde hair and my fair skin. Typically when we miss an area with sunscreen, he peels. I used The Heeler as soon as we got home and he hasn’t peeled yet.

I know this is going to be an asset in my mom arsenal.

Remember the dad in My Big Fat Greek Wedding? He was always shouting “just put a little Windex on it” whenever someone had a health problem. The Healer will be like that for my family.
