As the calendar moves through August, we’re trying our best to get ready for the school year to begin and honor these last days of summer. I’ve got one foot firmly planted on each side of the spectrum.

I want one last trip to the beach, one last late night blow off bedtime just because we can adventure, and one last summer bonfire with friends where we burn more marshmallows than we perfectly toast. I want it- endless summer. Because the days of having a summer with a six year old son and an almost two year old daughter are almost over.

I know the school year is coming and with it comes all of the necessary paper work about bus routes, back to school nights, and school supply shopping. There are new teachers, new classmates who want play dates before school starts, Malone grew three inches this summer and needs a wardrobe upgrade, a hair cut, and backpack.

The dance is delicate because time moves forward. I’ve tried to get it to stop, it just doesn’t. Time always marches on.

Because this time of year is so crazy, I am adamant about doing as many things I possibly can in the least amount of time. I can’t get time to stop, but I can steward the recourse of time well.

One of the things I’m doing is shopping at Walmart, where I can get everything I need (including my groceries) in one stop. On a recent trip we picked up Tyson® Chicken Nuggets, cat food, a birthday gift for a friend, and new sneakers.

We chose Tyson® Chicken Nuggets for a few different reasons.

1. They are all-white meat, made with 100% natural ingredients, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

2. Tyson® Chicken Nuggets make a great addition to muffin tin meals. I serve muffin tin meals a lot in the summer, they are an easy way to feed the kids. Our muffin tins are never the same, I just use what I’ve got already at home and make sure I’ve included a variety of texture and color.

This muffin tin included Tyson® Chicken Nuggets, celery, grapes, baby carrots, jack cheese, bbq sauce and ketchup.

3. Tyson® has a great program called the Tyson Project A+™. Simply clip and collect the label from participating products (Tyson® Chicken Nuggets, Fun Nuggets, Crispy Chicken Strips, Grill & Ready and Any’Tizers). The labels are collected at your school where a coordinator submits them back to Tyson® . For every label collected, Tyson® will give your school $0.24 to use as they’d wish!
