I can’t believe how early Easter is this year! If there is one thing my family loves, it is a great Easter Egg Hunt! There are so many great Easter Egg Hunts in Western MA, I thought it would be fun to put together a list for you! I know that I ALWAYS have a hard time finding this information.

Saturday March 19 2016

Westfield at the South Middle School Grounds

• Address: 30 West Silver St, Westfield MA
• Time: 1:00 pm
• Price: Free
• Hosted by:  City of Westfield, Westfield Boys & Girls Club, Amelia Skate Park and Amelia Children’s Museum.
• What you need to know: Line up for the egg hunt will begin at 1:00 PM and the egg hunt will begin promptly at 1:15 PM. The Easter Bunny will arrive at 1:30PM. In case of rain the egg hunt will be held on Saturday, March 26th, at 1:00 PM. More info is available here. 

Amherst at Atkins Market

• Address: 1150 West St, Amherst, MA
• Time: 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm
• Price: $4.00 per child (12 and under)
• Hosted by: Atkins Market
• What you need to know: This egg hunt is first come first served, with a rolling start every 10 minutes. Expect to wait and bring your own basket. Atkins is also hosting a photo charity event with Jaime’s Photography. FREE PHOTO with the Easter Bunny with the donation of two canned goods (or $3.00 donation). Easthampton at Daley Field

• Address: Williston Ave, by the High School
• Time: 10:00 am
• Price: Free
• Hosted by: Easthampton Community Center
• What you need to know: The Easter Bunny will arrive on a fire truck to start the hunt. There is a special section for children 4 years old and under, who may be accompanied by their parents onto the field. There are 18,000 eggs with hundreds of prize eggs. Bring your camera, there are photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny available.

Hadley at Hadley Elementary School

• Address: 21 River Drive, Hadley, MA
• Time: 11:00 am
• Price: Unknown
• Hosted by: Hadley Park and Rec and the Hadley PTO
• What you need to know: Egg hunt begins at 11:00 am. Then, join in on the fun at a carnival with food, crafts and tons of games. The Easter Bunny will be there!

Shelburne Falls at Trinity Church

• Address: 17 Severance Street, Shelburne Falls, MA

• What you need to know: Rain/Snow date: 3/23/16 

Whately at S. White Dickinson Memorial Library

• Address: 202 Chestnut Plain Road, Whately, MA

• What you need to know: Come to our annual Spring Party. Decorate a basket, dance and party with stories and songs and THEN? Go on the best egg hunt ever! You just might have Mr. Bunny helping you out! Please rsvp at 665-2170.

Colrain at Pine Hill Orchards

• What you need to know:  The Easter Egg Hunt starts at 2:30 followed by pictures with the Easter Bunny and cookie decorating! There will be a $1 donation per child with all proceeds going the Colrain Central PTO.

Ludlow at the Boy’s & Girls Club

• What you need to know: Bring a camera to take pictures with the Easter Bunny from 12 – 1pm at the pavilion in back of the Club. The Egg Hunt will begin at 1pm, please bring a basket to collect your eggs. This FREE event is for children in Preschool to 5th grade. Pre-registration is required by March 18th – space is limited to the first 100 children registered. Wilbraham at Spec Pond Recreation Area

• What you need to know: The Wilbraham Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting their annual Egg Hunt at the Spec Pond Recreation Area! It’s going to be a morning filled with fun and surprises! Bring your camera and have your picture taken with the Easter bunny too, win prizes and play games! Starts at 10:00 am. Bring a decorated basket for our Easter basket contest! Lots of prizes. Pre-registration required. Event held rain or shine. More information is available here. 

 Wilbraham at the Wilbraham Children’s Museum

• Price: $3.00 per child (suggested donation)

• What you need to know: Join us and the Easter Bunny on the playground for an Egg Hunt for little ones age 5 and under. Suggested donation of $3 per child appreciated. More info is available here. 

West Springfield at Mittengue Park

• What you need to know: Children are invited to meet the Easter Bunny and receive a candy treat between 9:45AM to 10:30AM in the tennis court area and then the Egg Hunt will begin SHARPLY at 10:30AM. The children will be divided into three color-coded age groups, Yellow for 2 years and under, Pink for 3 to 4 years and Purple for 5 to 7 years old. Each age group will have a separate section to partake in their hunt for candy filled eggs. Please look for your child’s age grouping color. Springfield Zoo at Forest Park

• What you need to know: This event is weather permitting. Springfield Zoo at Forest Park Easter Eggstravaganza Come to the zoo on opening day!! We will be giving away candy/toy filled Easter eggs and have other fun educational things to do! You will also see Forest the monkey and another surprise guest! **Hint – he LOVES to eat carrots!** More information is available here. 

Ludlow at the Hubbard Memorial Library

• What you need to know:  Kids of all ages are invited to the Library’s egg hunt, sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Children will search the grounds for colorful eggs, and a chance to win prizes! We do a nice, friendly hunt with big kids on one lawn and littles on another, and all participants collect the same number of eggs, so no one misses out. Kids who have food allergies can swap for non-candy eggs. Please bring your own basket! In case of rain, this program will take place the following Saturday, April 2nd. South Hadley at Buttery Brook Park

• What you need to know: The Hat Parade begins at 11am, followed by the Easter Egg Hunt at 11:30am. Children should wear their most creative, crazy, fun Easter hats, and bring a container to collect candy eggs. Prizes are awarded to the best hats in special “Easter” categories. Northampton Look Park

• What you need to know: This years “egg hunt” event will include over 10,000 eggs that contain either candy or a small toy.  The 2 & under division will receive a snack after the egg hunt, rather than candy. Each age group will have 2 golden tickets hidden in the eggs. Redeem for a prize under the white tent. Prizes donated by Northampton Wal-Mart. Age groups are separated into various sections in the Park, with the following time frames. You will receive a map when you enter the Park, and signs will be posted for the areas. More information is available here. 

Agawam at Bethany Assembly of God

• What you need to know: The Great Easter Egg Hunt is happening once again here at Bethany! Bring your children for an exciting day of hunting for eggs with the chance to win fantastic prizes! Belchertown at the Belchertown Recreation Center

• What you need to know: This Easter Egg Hunt is for ages 10 and under. Preregistration is required and can be down through the Rec department. There will be goodies & balloons along with an Easter Egg hunt where each child will be able to fill their basket with eggs with surprised inside!. Turners Falls at Unity Park

• What you need to know: Snow date: Saturday April 9, 2016. This Easter Egg Hunt is for children aged 4 through 10. There will be over 5000 eggs hidden in the park and a chance to have your photo taken with the Easter Bunny. There will also be a raffle and bake sale.

Granville at Maple Corner Farm

• What you need to know:  Rain Date: April 2, 2016. Join us at Maple Corner Farm for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny will be stopping by for a visit! Be sure to come before or after to have some delicious breakfast!

Holyoke at Holyoke Heritage State Park

• What you need to know: Holyoke Parks and Recreation and Mayor Morse invite the community to join them for their 2016 Spring Celebration and Easter egg hunt at Holyoke Heritage State Park. This family friendly event includes: Easter egg hunts for four age groups, great prizes, face painting, gift bags, pony rides, craft stations and of course a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. The Merry Go Round and the Children’s Museum will also be open!  You must register at least one hour prior to your scheduled egg hunt. Registration begins at 9:00 am. All registrations will happen on site, that morning at Holyoke Heritage State Park.  If you have any questions please call the Parks & Recreation Department at (413) 322-5620.
