Today’s post about when breakfast gives back has been brought to you by Entenmann’s Little Bites ® .

There are days when I feel like we’re the only family who is chasing the slow life. We are in the process of simplifying almost every aspect of our lives… from the amount of clothes and toys we have, to the amount of commitments we say yes to, to the rhythms around food and more. If it can be automated, delegated or eliminated, we’re doing that.

One area of our lives where this is playing out is breakfast, especially on the weekends. On the weekends, we finally all get a chance to breathe after the weekday hustle. And hustle… that’s the perfect word for it. Our schedules feel crazy during the week, but we’re focusing on the right things….. things that will matter to us 10 years down the road. I’ve decided that I’m not going to try to win Pinterest on the weekends any more that I try to win Pinterest during the week. But extra touches and a few hacks go a long way.

Take one package of Entemann’s Little Bite’s muffins and a mandarin orange. Make a funny face. Give it to your kid and be happy.

One of the fun things about Little Bites is that they’ve recently partnered with TerraCycle®, international recycling company turns waste into plastic that can be used for products such as park benches, recycling bins and playgrounds.

Together, they want to give back. Through the free recycling program, you can collect waste, like Entenmann’s Little Bites pouches, and ship to TerraCycle for processing using a pre-paid shipping label. From January through March TerraCycle and Entenmann’s Little Bites want to reward you for making eco-friendly habits by Making the Pledge. And if you collect Entenmann’s Little Bites pouches on behalf of a K-12 school, you could be placed in the running to win a Classroom Party. It’s easy to participate: make the pledge, send in the waste, and earn more reward. The Entenmann’s Little Bites  Pouch Recycling Program is open to any individual, school or organization interested in reducing local landfill waste.
